The Start of War... Empty
PostSubject: The Start of War...   The Start of War... EmptyFri Feb 01, 2013 8:06 pm

The echo of loud footsteps could be heard across the palace in the bright sunlight of the afternoon. The palace was empty, and filled with different expensive paintings from across the known world. A group of five people were walking together down the hallway with each of their footsteps in almost perfect synch. Each of the men wore expensive pure white suits with gold attachments such as buttons, medals, or just chains. However, there was one person who walked in front of them with at least a five foot difference. This man's foot steps were completey different, and walked at his own pace. The man's name was Henry Ai Britannia and he was emperor of the Holy Britannian Empire. He has been the emperor for two years, and in the beginning everything was nice an easy. That was the case until recently, now he had his hands full with war. With no clear general of his army, he had to run his army by himself, and since his father's death his whole empire has changed completely. There were too many corrupt officals in his ranks, so he had to clear them all out. This was a necessary action because he couldn't afford a stab in the back right now. His country needed him so he took it upon himself to run his country alone. The only people who were allowed in his palace were those who served his father. Even though this number was small, it was all that was needed in this time of war.

Unknowningly to the New Emperor, in fact to all that laid dormant within the palace, The masked man had already infiltrated the premises. He would blend into the shadows as he would wear nothing but black, black boots that secured the black pants legs, the black long shirt that was covered with a protective vest, a black hood that was attached to the vest that cover all of The mysterious person's head, and a ceramic plate mask that hid the man's face.

He would see the Emporer and his guards walking the long endless hallways of the Palace, the design was exquisite, so was the attire of the group in whole. He would admire the expensive and luxiourious attire of the men while perched on top of one of the skyscraper like pillars, blending in to the ceiling shadows. He sat on top of it carelessly, with one of his feet dangling down, with the other leg brought back to be used as a arm rest for his left arm.

The masked man believed that it was time for the Emperor to play his part, the role that demanded so many before him, only to fall into his laps. He would watch the emperor walk pass him unknowingly, until he would give away his position, about 30 feet high above the ground. The palace was as if it housed a city within a city.

"Emperor Henry Ai Britannia, it is time for you to do what must be done." He said this with a groggy voice, but with a lower deep voice towards the end of his sentence. His word might have been uneasy to understand in a normal setting, but due to the giant endless hallways of the palace, his echo’s would help.

Unknowingly to the Emporer, The masked man knew a lot more than what the Emperor might believe to think.

The five men behind him quickly drew their weapons from their coats and aimed it at the masked man. Henry looked up at the masked man and could see nothing but the mask. The rest of his body wasn't clear to him, but he see some things. Like the man's leg that dangled carelessly, but what concerned Henry wasn't trying to see the man's body. He was concerned with how the man got in the palace. The palace was like a fortress, it had plenty of guards and alarms every where. The man would have had to known all the positions of the guards, cameras, and alarms that was scattered around. Henry felf angered, but slighty impressed with this man. "Put your guns away, if he had wanted to kill me he would have already done so when we walked passed him." he said while doing a hand gesture. The guards slowly put their guns away, still on high alert. "What do you mean its time for me to do what must be done?" he said as he turned his body to face the man.

He would watch as the Emperor would spot him, as the mask man would want him to. But Simon would be impressed with the Emporer’s controlled demeanor, even though there was an intruter within the Palace, he still kept a strong composure. He nodded his head in admiration, such a trait that seemed to become rarer and rarer in the passing of time.

Loud hand claps would echo throughout the hallway, congratulating the Emperor. "My my, I’m impressed. You managed to keep such a calm head when I announced myself, even if I’m an intruder. I admire that trait." He would continue to eye down the emperor, examining him, it had been a long time since the two had seen each other.

"Now it is time for the actor to take the stage, to play the role that must be filled. You are the one for it, Henry Ai Britannia. You have taken the mantle of Emperor, in fact inherited the mantle from the previous emperor, your father." He would pause for a second as he would reach into his vest with his right hand, pulling out a scroll that contained two Areas(Areas 41, 37) that were marked and label with battle strategies, it was also filled with many other prints of writing. "Do not Fear Henry." With the scroll tightly rolled up with a decorative ribbon, he would toss it towards the Emperor, with high hopes of him catching it, for it was for his eyes and his eyes alone. "In there you will find two pieces of land that needs to be taken into high concern, the rest is just some other works of modern technology that you could benefit from." His last line was but a cover that he used, when in reality he would be reading a brief a limited description about the power of the kings, Geass.

The description:

In its earlier days it managed to bring down many bold and proud men that sought for it, its name was forever lost but held strong onto reality. Its indigo color would glisten when looked upon, shining towards those who would come into the presence of its master. The arc that lay upon that color would ascend to those that would be unworthy to its master. Its terrible power would mold into the image of its maker, spreading the word that would be known today as King. The Power of the King it was.

"Tell me, now that the world is at war, what will you do Henry? Your role if you so chose to take it, is to change this world for the better, become the hero, the king, the savior, and if need be so the God of this realm. Choose to become this role model, and I will give you the means to achieve the goal... that I have failed to do so."

Henry listened to the loud claps and the compliment the masked man gave him. Henry didn't reply back to the man's comment, fflattery wasn't something Henry took part in. Instead he chose to try to get a better look and the man. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't see anything but the mask and the one leg. His attension quickly changed to trying to understand what the man was saying. It was hard at first to understand, but the more the man spoke, the more Henry's ears adjusted to the man's voice. He listened to what the man was saying, although his words seemed to make almost no sense. "Actor? Stage? What is this man talking about. Does this man think that this war is some kind of play or game?" Henry thought to himself. He watched as the man began move, although he couldn't really see what the man was doing. Henry's guards reached for their weapons again, but Henry gave them a cold stare. The guards stopped what they were doing and went back to high alert. Them what seem like out of nowhere a scroll flew right in front of him. He caught it with his left hand at the last second, right before it went pass him.

He heard the man give him a summary of what was in the scroll. Henry really didn't believe him at first, since he was talking about certain areas where Henry needed to control. Then he thought about how the man even got this far, he would have to know something. Henry began to untie the ribbon, he could hear his guards yell in a attempt to get Henry to stop. They were worried it was some kind of bomb, Henry already considered this. He ingnored his guards pleads and united the ribbon completely. Nothing happened, he opened the scroll to read its contents. However the summary the man gave him was wrong, the scroll had nothing to do with areas or weapons. All that was in the scroll was a description of something called the power of kings. Henry had never heard of this before, but then it was like the masked man voice was in Henry's head. All Henry could hear was the man's voice, Henry looked up at the masked man. "I accept this power you speak of." Henry said.

He would watch as the King would easily be influenced by the words that were imprinted on the scroll. He would raise an eye brow when he hear the guards yell to the Henry about the scroll being some type of bomb, a clever invention that would prove useful to the ordinary assassin.

He then saw as the Emperor would accept the power, without even questioning him. This would reveal either the king showed early signs of being power hungry, incompetent, or just too trusting. He could tell that Henry had inherited some of the previous Emperors traits, but not all of them. "You think this wise boy, trusting a man such as myself, even if i offer you power. That is a dangerous habit to develop. You are young so making errors like so would be a simple trip and fall... that is what is normally say. You are the Emperor of Britannia; you have no right to make such mistakes." He would stop himself as he would see that he would unknowingly fit the role as a caring father, which was not in today's schedule. He would then snap his fingers once; the echo would flow through the hallways. "Send your guards away, is you truly wish to gain this power to help you on the path, then you will obey my words, for these technological advances must be discussed in private. So if you please..."

Simon had used the word Obey on purpose, to see what kind of reaction he would get out of him. If the King would clear out the hallway of all his guards, he would then proceed with the ritual, the passing of the power.

Henry felt as if he was being scolded by his father again, he didn't like that feeling. The word "Young" stuck out to him the most as he felt anger fill him up. This man who already had embrassed him by breaking in his house, HIS palalce, had no right to talk down on him. As he started to think about his actions, the man was right, Henry acted to rashly. "The Power of Kings? Haha, to think that I acted like that over something like this." he thought to himself. He regained his composure and looked up at the man once again. The only reason he acted so rashly was the thought of being able to stop this war rang through his head. The only Henry cared about was his country, thats why he acted like that. However, what ever purpose or goal he had, no matter how noble it was, he had no right to act like that. He heard the man snap his fingers talk to him like he was some kind of dog. "No matter how glorious this 'Technology' you speak of is, I won't make the same mistake again, and I won't be talked down to. If you wanna talk in private thats fine by me, however you're going to come down here first. My guards won't attack unless I say, or if they see I'm in danger. My guards are going to check you, and once thats done they'll leave." Henry said calmly.

Simon loved the King's retort, as such as to be expected. Now this is how a king is suppose to act, cautious, observant, and firm when talking. He sighed as he would now see that the ritual will begin soon. "Yes my Lord, my apologies." The masked man then immediately used his dangling leg as a boost when he would push off the pillar which he sat on, propelling him to the nearby pillar that was only a few feet away. Once he would descend down by leaping of each pillar, he would finally reach the floor of the hallway, now standing with perfect posture, hands behind his back, and 10 feet away from the Emperor and his guards. He would pose no threat to them as they would obviously observe his hands empty as he came down from the shadows. The masked man could now be observed a lot more accurately.

"Yes if do wish this to be handled more privately, but your guards will not search me. Please, take my word for it, I have nothing to gain from hurting one such as important as you. He would say this while his groggy voice would take over, a condition that is highly unwanted by him. "If you must, i would like to ask if we can be escorted to a more private room, which can be guarded from the outside. Believe me, what I offer you is power that you could benefit greatly from, take it."

Simon would wait for the King to decide, he didn’t wish for the king to proceed on with his original plan. For Simon had a schedule to keep, time was not of the essence. "My Lord, if you please."

Henry looked at the masked man and saw that he wore all black. The only thing that wasn't black was his mask. As he listened to the man speak, his voice almost seemed familiar, but then that groggy sound came back. What ever the case was, he disregarded it for now as he had to think about more important things. One of his guards began to speak, but Henry held up his hand and the guard was immediately silenced. He already knew the guard was going to say, but he didn't want to hear it. "Lets go." he said to the masked man in a calm voice. After a short walk they approached a door, and Henry did a signal to his guards. He opened the door and gestured for the masked man to come in the room. After the door was shut, the guards took their positions around the door. The room was like a small study, well small by his palace's standards. The room had one had a long brown table, with chairs all around it. There was a window on the far side of the room that over looked a garden that was filled with flowers of all colors and shapes. Henry preesed a button that was on the table, and the window's curtains closed. Henry pulled a chair out and sat down with his right leg crossed over his left leg. "Please, take a seat. I want us to be comfortable while we talk about this technolgy. "

Once the door was shut, Simon would extend his hand towards the Emperor, as he was to the right of the king. "Now, are you prepared to receive the power of the kings?" If the king should reach out and grasp the man’s hand, he would be blessed with the power.

These following words would flow into the king’s mind, filling it with the same words over and over again until it would burn into his memory.

"The Power of the King will be yours, if and only if you agree to carry out the deed that follows with the contract. To see the world reform .

Simon would wait to see the king's response to gaining such power. "You will be strong my lord, just like... you wanted to be."

Henry watched as the masked man reached out his hand towards him. He stood up from his chair and prepared to grab the man's hand. For moment he thought about all the possible things that could happen. He just figured that if he got stabbed, he would just pull out the gun he had underneath his shirt. He always carried a gun with him just in case. He grabbed the man's hand and his brain started to hear the same word over and over. It took him awhile before he realized that it was more than one word, but rather a phrase. "The Power of the King will be yours, if and only if you agree to carry out the deed that follows with the contract. To see the world reform." is what he heard. Then he felt something strange in his left eye, like it was vibarating. Henry let go of the man's hand and put his hand over his left eye. The feeling was weird, like it was vibrating, tingling, and warm all at once. He slightly moved his hand away from his face, but it was like his vision was blurry in the one eye. He put his hand back over his eye and looked at the masked man. "So I have this Power of Kings now? What does it even do?"

The masked man would make his way towards the window, moving the curtains so that it wouldn't be in his way. He would then look back at the king, "What does it do you ask, well what’s the point in that, I would only spoil your surprise. But what you can do is focus your sight onto another's eyes, your guards maybe? Once you do that, you will know what to do." The masked man would then open the window as he would then hope onto the rail. “Also as a word of advice, don’t try and proceed with those plans so hastily, you should strengthen your military power first, so that your opposition would pose no greater real threat. Take your time my Lord.”

“King Henry, we will me again, very soon. May your reign be victorious, my lord.” In an instant, the image of the masked man vanished, making his way off the palace grounds. However, a card would be left in his place, sitting on top of the rail. It was an electronic scan card, with the geass symbol on it, intended for King Henry for future use.

PostSubject: Re: The Start of War...   The Start of War... EmptySun Feb 03, 2013 1:48 pm

Henry wactched as the masked man disappeared right before his eye. Henry walked over towards the window to close, upon doing so he stepped on a card that was on the ground. There was a strange symbol on it, but Henry felt like he had seen this symbol before. He picked up the card with his right hand since his left hand was still covering his left eye. That vibaraitng, warm feeling he felt was still there, but not as much as before. He walked over to a mirror that was on the wall to his right and removed his hand. The vision in his left eye wasn't blurry anymore, instead everything seemed to be a hue of purple. Looking into the mirror he saw the same symbol that was on the card in his eye. The image was that of a pinkish purple sigil that was right in the middle of his eye, and the rest of his eye was a light purple. He closed his left eye and noticed that everything looked normal with his right eye. He opened his left eye again and noticed the symbol was gone and that his eye looked normal. Then his guards opened the door to check on Henry, as he exceeded the time limit he set. "Is everything alright my King." one guard said while bowing. "Yes I'm fine, lets go, I have to have a word with the head of security." he said in a authoritative voice.

He walked out the room and and passed all the guards that was in front of the door. After walking for a while, he came upon a elveator. He pressed the button on the wall and the elevator doors opened immediately. He walked in by himself since he told that guards he was with to go figure out how the man managed to get in. After waiting for a short while, he reached the designated floor. The doors opened and a room full of computers, moniters, and other electronics came into full view. In the middle of the room was stand that was for the Head of Security to observe all of the guard's work. Henry walked onto this stand and stood behind the Head of Security for a short while before the man finally noticed that Henry was behind him. He was surprised at first, but he quickly bowed and addressed Henry. "David, what is your job here." Henry said in a slight sarcastic, but calm tone. "My job here is to make sure that safety of the King is always intact." Daivd said in a slightly timid voice. Henry looked at David and gestured for him to stand straight up, which he did. "You forgot something in your answer. Your job is to also make sure the palace is not breached or in danger, correct?" Henry said in a calm voice. David quickly nodded in agreement with Henry.

Henry started to think about that feeling he had in his eye not too long ago. That warm, vibrating feeling and that symbol in his eye. Then, he suddenly notice that the hue of purple came back, but something was different this time. David had a pinkish purple outline around his body and his eyes were light purple instead of black. Henry looked David straight into his eyes and a phrase popped into his mind. It was like Henry couldn't control his mouth, and that phrase just fell out. "May your trial be fair and just." Henry said in a calm voice. Instantly after saying the phrase, Henry noticed that he was in a new place. The place looked like a court room and David was right in front of a judge. Henry couldn't see the judge clearly, it was like the judge's face a pitche black and no facial features. "This is the trial of Heaven and Hell, but don't worry, its not your trial." said a voice in a silly, care free tone of voice just to the right of Henry. Henry looked over and saw a woman with long blond hair and blue eyes. She was pale and dressed in black bussiness attire. "Don't worry, this will be the only time you'll see this, well at least for right now anyway." she said while adding a giggle at the end. Henry couldn't say anything, it was like his mouth was numbed up and he couldn't move it. "Yeah, you can't say anything during a trial, well at least not right now. You see, you put that man, David, on trial just now. Even though you didn't meant too, it still counts. This trial is going to determine if he goes to Heaven or Hell, well not literally, but his mind will go to one of those. Well not really, haha, I know this might sound confusing but it works like this."

"All humans have a certain perception of Heaven and Hell. Even if you're an atheist you've formulated a certain perception, in your mind of course, of how you think Heaven and Hell looks like. So if think Hell is nothing but fire and lava, then thats what your Hell will look like. Your power bascially locks their mind into their own very little plane of oblivion so to speak haha." Then Henry heard the judge's mallet hit the podium and two humonid things appeared. One looked an angel and the other looked like a demon. "Look, the judge is now going to choose which one David goes too, so exciting." the woman said with genuine excitement. Then the judge held out both of his hands and both of the humonid beings drew closer to David. David began to scream and shout, but chains appeared and wraped themselves around him. Then the judge dropped his right hand, and pointed at the demon with his left hand. Then a red and black gate appreared on the left of David. The demon picked up David and the gate opened, soon after the demon flew into the gate with David still in his arms. "Thats basically it, you'll have to figure out how to do the rest on by yourself because I don't know anything else, well thats not true haha, but in any case see ya."

Then Henry noticed that he was back in the security room and David was just standing there. David wasn't moving an inch, so Henry looked away for a quick second to examine his surroundings. As soon as he turned away he heard a loud bang. He turned to see that David was now on the floor, soon afterwards Henry felt the feeling in his eye disapper and everything was its normal color. He called over some of the people that was working in the room over to help David. Henry made his way back to the elevator, pressed the button and walked into the elevator.
